James Buescher Gains Third Top-10 Finish at Texas Motor Speedway

James Buescher Gains Third Top-10 Finish at Texas Motor Speedway

NASCAR Truck Series - WinStar World Casino 400
June 7th, 2013 - Texas Motor Speedway
Coming from the back of the pack for the second week in a row, James Buescher was looking like a dark horse that could steal the win at his home track of Texas Motor Speedway on Friday evening. Buescher was forced to start from the back of the 32-truck field after his team decided to be safe and change their carburetor after finding an issue following qualifying impound. Buescher and the Ruud team had their work cut out for them during the 167-lap event. Once the green flag fell, Buescher wasted no time in picking his way through the pack and found himself battling for a top-five running spot much of the event. After a late-race caution, the handling on the No. 31 Ruud Chevrolet went away, but Buescher hung on for his third top-ten finish of 2013, coming home in ninth.
Start - 18, Finish - 9, Laps Led - 0, Points - 35
